Since I announced I am taking an indefinite break from social media, I’ve been asked “Are you retiring?” The answer is “I’m not sure.”
When I moved to Vancouver Island, it was an overwhelming experience to sell our house of 22 years and move here. I took about 4 months off from filming new videos for Instagram, Facebook and TikTok. The time flew by.
I do enjoy Instagram, and my Facebook groups have been wonderful, but I’m not sure if I will make more content in the future.
However, I get bored easily. Even though there are many creative ideas I would like to explore, I might get bored and return to social media. Also, I know I will miss the people and online friends I’ve made.
Does that answer the retirement question? haha! Not exactly, but I’m in uncharted waters right now and don’t know how I will feel leaving my online life behind.
Anyway, I will share updates like this here on my blog, which you can subscribe to with your email address (find this subscription box below on my sidebar or scroll down on your phone).
I’m leaving Mail Chimp (which is how I emailed my newsletters in the past), so this blog subscription will be similar if you would like some of my news in your inboxes and stay in touch with me.
Today is November 30 and the last day I will be in my Facebook groups. I have received countless kind messages from so many of you. Thank you for making me feel special and thank you for sharing your creative lives with me!
